An Age Old Story Reveals The Secret Of The Stones

 For millennia gemstones were praised and worn for their healing powers. Same as today, while only the upper class could afford precious stones, semiprecious stones were available to most; evidenced in the large quantities and wide variety of jewellery and personal artifacts left from the pharaonic times in Egypt alone, and the age of some of the oldest lapis lazuli mines in Afghanistan.

Even the Torah speaks of the twelve tribes of Israel, to each of which God had assigned a stone based on the birth date of the twelve sons of Jacob. One of the long unsolved mysteries in the Bible is the identification of the these twelve stones with which God instructed the making of the breastplate of the high priest. Since most of those stones are mentioned only in that context and they were known by different names and classifications, they have been extremely hard to identify, and most scholars have given up on it as a lost cause.

Would God, his favorite writer, or anyone trying to transmit important information through the ages, make the rookie mistake of writing very specific stone’s names as the information they’re trying to pass on? Or would they make their information redundant? Would they reference twelve specific people’s birth dates as data, or would they do it to establish a correspondence?

There are three correspondences transmitted in this story:

1. A relationship is established between the twelve stones and the twelve tribe’s leaders birth dates. This suggests a correspondence between the twelve stones and precise times of the year, or the twelve tribes of stars, the zodiac signs. In contemporary calendars, the twelve months of the year.

2. A relationship is established between the twelve tribes and the twelve stone’s colors, which are to be the colors of each tribe’s flag. This implies a correspondence between the twelve zodiac signs and the twelve stone’s colors.

3. A relationship is established between the stones and the high priest’s breastplate, as the stones are included in it per God’s instructions. This alludes to a correspondence between the twelve stones and the human breastplate, shield, energy field, or body.
